Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 Jul 2026. This policy explains how bottlesmart.sbs ("we", "us") handles personal information for users in Japan under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003).
1) What we collect
- Contact and account data: name, email, phone, address, login identifiers.
- Order/transaction data: items, shipping details, invoices/receipts, customer messages. Payment card details are typically processed by payment providers; we may receive limited payment status tokens.
- Parent/profile and product-use data you submit: baby/child nickname/age range, feeding schedules/notes, reminders, and support requests.
- Device/app/site data: IP address, device/browser info, app/website events, approximate location (from IP), cookie/advertising identifiers, and log files.
- Google/Meta lead form data (if you submit a form/ad): contact details and any answers you provide, used to respond and (if you opt in) send updates.
2) How we use personal information
We specify and use personal information for purposes such as: providing the website, processing orders and delivery, customer support, fraud/security, product improvement, analytics, and sending transactional messages. We send marketing emails only where permitted and we honor unsubscribe/refusal requests (Act on Regulation of Transmission of Specified Electronic Mail (Act No. 26 of 2002)).
3) Sharing and third parties
We may share information with service providers (processors) such as payment processing, shipping/logistics, customer support tools, hosting, and analytics/advertising. We require appropriate safeguards and limit use to providing services to us in line with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003).
4) Cookies & external transmission (analytics/ads)
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions, preferences, analytics, and advertising measurement. When tags/SDKs transmit user-related information (e.g., cookie/advertising IDs, IP address, device info, page URL, event timestamps) to third parties, we provide notices/disclosures as required (Telecommunications Business Act (Act No. 86 of 1984), Article 27-12). Cookies and identifiers may be treated as personally related information; if provided to third parties in a way that enables linkage to a person, APPI requirements may apply (Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003)). 5) International transfers
Our vendors/servers may be located outside Japan. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we implement contractual and organizational safeguards appropriate under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003).
6) Retention & security
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (access controls, encryption where appropriate, logging, vendor due diligence) to protect data; no method is 100% secure.
7) Your choices and requests
You may request access/disclosure, correction, deletion/cessation of use, or cessation of third-party provision, and you may withdraw marketing consent. We may need to verify your identity. Requests are handled under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003).
